Windows 11 2022 Update – Don’t wait until 2025 to upgrade!: Queue-Tips

Microsoft has recently rolled out a significant update to Windows 11, and if you previously put off upgrading, you are out of luck. With the rapid move to remote or hybrid work, the PC has kept us connected in more ways than before. This shift came with security threats, including over 900 password attacks every second. With last year’s Windows 11 launch, Microsoft gave Windows a modern refresh while adding additional security, making it more reliable.
The Windows 11 2022 update is the first major update since Windows XP, and Microsoft is focusing on four areas:
- Making the PC simpler and safer to use for everyone
- Empowering people to be more productive
- Making Windows the best place to connect
- Delivering added security, management, and flexibility to the workplace
Making the PC simpler and safer to use for everyone
Windows 11 is known for its intuitive design. This new update will build on it with features that will ensure the content you need is always at your fingertips. It includes an improved Start menu, faster and more accurate search, improved local and current events coverage, Quick Settings, and the most requested feature, tabs in File Explorer. Windows 11 is the most secure version of Windows released. In addition, Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscribers get access to a Defender app built by Microsoft to expand device protection to your Android and iOS devices and Macs.
Empowering people to be more productive
With enhancements to Snap layouts, the new Focus feature, and performance and battery optimizations, the latest Windows 11 2022 update will help with productivity. Snap layouts on Windows 11 have been a game changer for multitasking and helping people optimize their view when they need multiple apps or documents to open simultaneously. In this new update, Snap layouts are more versatile, with better touch navigation and the ability to snap multiple browser tabs in Microsoft Edge.
Microsoft introduced Focus sessions and Do Not Disturb in this update to help minimize distractions from the task at hand. At the start of a new focus session, Windows will turn on Do Not Disturb, which silences notifications and turns off taskbar badges and application notifications in the taskbar. Focus is also integrated with the Clock App, launching a timer to help the user focus and remind them to take breaks at regular intervals.
Making Windows the best place to connect
As people use Windows to stay connected, Microsoft added new features with this update to make those experiences better. Video and audio call quality is improved with ‘Studio Effects.’ The new Windows Studio lets you look and sound your best on conference calls, and with the help of advanced AI and Voice Focus filter, background noises are filtered out. Automatic Framing and Eye Contact will enable the camera to stay focused, helping you to make a better connection with people on the other side of the screen. With more templates and effects, video editing is fun with ‘Clickchamp’.
Delivering added security, management, and flexibility to the workplace
Organizations need tools to manage multiple Window endpoints securely and keep employees productive and engaged. To meet the needs of this increasingly complex landscape, the new Windows 11 2022 Update delivers essential new security features and new management tools for increased IT efficiency. The new Microsoft Defender SmartScreen identifies when people enter their Microsoft credentials into a malicious application or hacked website and alerts them. Smart App Control blocks untrusted or unsigned applications, script files, and malicious macros from running on Windows 11. As a result, the employees can use the tools they want and need, while the executives can relax knowing the organization is protected.
