Dynamics 365 Copilot: Next-gen AI For All Business Applications: Queue-Tips

Earlier this month Microsoft announced the next generation of AI product updates across its business applications portfolio to assist with business functions and launched Microsoft Dynamics 365 Copilot. It is the world’s first AI copilot that is natively built-in to both CRM and ERP applications. It brings next-generation AI capabilities and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to Dynamics 365 making it easier to create better content and accomplish time-consuming tasks by just describing them.
Copilot in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and Viva Sales
Copilot features are now available to preview across all the Dynamics 365 business applications and Viva Sales- a revolutionary way to augment a seller’s decisions with insights and actions that are powered by AI. Listed below are a few new Microsoft Copilot features that can help sellers boost productivity and close deals.
Communicate with customers more effectively with AI-generated emails
In the most recent update to Viva Sales, it was announced that it will now be able to analyze customer emails and generate content suggestions complete with data specific to the recipient. The generated content can be modified to the seller’s liking before sending it to the customer. On March 15, email replies are moved into general availability and will be enhanced to create customizable emails. The feedback mechanism allows the seller to rate the content to help refine future content. Sellers can review the content generated and always provide a new prompt to build on the previously suggested draft and new context. This feature helps sellers save time in composing emails and searching through databases for relevant sales data.
Follow up with customers promptly with AI-generated meeting summaries
Sellers spend a lot of time each day recapping action items for follow-through. Conversation Intelligence can help provide automated summaries of key topics and concerns raised during the meetings to help the seller draft a follow-through. This new Copilot feature uses NLP capabilities powered by Azure OpenAI to generate a recap draft of the call with action items and follow-up dates, based on the meeting insights and data in CRM. These summaries can be generated for a range of meeting types in Teams (including multi-participant and internet calls) and help sellers stay organized and on top of their game during sales meetings that are often content-heavy. This feature is available for public preview in Microsoft Viva Sales.
Copilot in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Writing compelling product descriptions for hundreds of products in online stores to make them stand out from the competition and boost sales is a challenging task. Copilot in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central helps SMBs bring new products into the market quicker by producing AI-generated product descriptions. This feature suggests copy for engaging product descriptions that are customizable (preferred writing style, length, and tone of the message) and tailored to your brand. With just a few clicks, Business Central Customers can seamlessly publish these product descriptions to their Shopify store. Copilot features are now available in Business Central in a limited preview.
Copilot in Microsoft Supply Chain Center and Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management
Due to ongoing disruptions, constraints and shortages in recent years, businesses have discovered that the supply chain technologies they currently operate on are not well equipped for this environment. To provide unprecedented insights and visibility needed to help solve disruptions before they happen, AI-enabled supply chain management is needed. The new Copilot capabilities for Microsoft Supply Chain Center (available for Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management customers) help predict and act on the disruptions that occur across the suppliers, weather, and geographies.
It proactively flags external issues (weather, financial and geo-political) that could potentially impact the supply chain process by using the intelligence from the news module. Impacted orders across materials, inventory, carrier, and distribution networks will be surfaced through predictive insights. These insights are turned into action by Copilot using contextual email outreach generated by OpenAI Service. Supply Chain managers can save time with the contextual reply feature and collaborate with suppliers impacted by external issues to identify ETAs and re-route purchase orders if needed. They can also help meet customer demand on time by fulfilling high-priority orders through alternate distribution centers. Copilot features are now available in Microsoft Supply Chain Center in a limited preview.
