2022 Release Wave 1 Plans for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform – Available Now

In a January 25 blog post, Microsoft “published the 2022 release wave 1 plans for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Power Platform,” including Microsoft documents containing specific release dates “between April 2022 and September 2022.” In the first wave of the year, commencing in January – the early access period for “customers and partners” – the blog post delineated major Microsoft Dynamics 365 offerings, including each significant product.
For Dynamics 365 Finance, the major update is “general availability of subscription billing to ensure organizations can thrive in a service-based economy.” For D365 Business Central, simplification of “the customer onboarding experience” is being furthered with “a modern Help Pane that gives users guidance and learning content where they need it most, in the context of their work.” Microsoft is also “making it easier to trigger a Power Automate flow directly from Business Central pages.” For D365 Sales, the focus is on “seamless collaboration.” D365 Commerce “continues to invest in key B2B commerce scenarios, including sales agreements, on-behalf-of ordering, and partner-specific product catalogs and pricing.” For D365 Customer Service, “personalized service across channels, empower agents, and make collaboration easier in an ever-increasing remote world.” For the D365 Field Service product, “innovative enhancements and usability improvements” have been brought to the essential schedule board.” D365 Human Resources is adding key features such as “intelligent talent management capabilities.”
Other Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform updates are fully delineated in the post.
