As we approach the end of the 2020 calendar year, we want to provide Queue’s clients with our annual report of Year End updates for Microsoft Dynamics SL, GP, NAV and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Microsoft Dynamics SL

Microsoft Dynamics SL 2020 Year-End Updates are expected to be released in the week of December 21, for those clients using versions 2018 and later. The following is a list of changes expected from Microsoft:

• Add the ability to have two (2) sets of tax tables (standard and High Withholdings) for state deductions
• Allow different marital status for state and federal deductions and exemptions and credits
• New 1099- NEC Form
• Updated 1099-MISC Form

For any of our clients that are on a version earlier than SL 2018, we will offer Year End packages for Dynamics SL 2011 SP2, SP3, FP1, and SP4, as well as for ALL versions of SL 2015. The unsupported version offering will mimic changes that Microsoft will provide to current mainstream supported versions.

Microsoft Dynamics GP

Microsoft will only release 2020 Year-End Updates to clients that are using Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 and GP 2018. For any of our clients that are on an earlier version than GP 2016, you would need to upgrade at least to Dynamics GP 2016 or to a later version to obtain the year-end update. Please contact Queue Associates directly if you require these Year End updates for 1099 processing.

 

Microsoft Dynamics NAV

1099 updates for on-prem Microsoft Dynamics NAV versions will be for the following. These updates should be currently available (in the first and second weeks of December).

• Dynamics NAV 2016 – end of life cycle support Jan 2021
• Dynamics NAV 2017 – end of life cycle support Jan 2022
• Dynamics NAV 2018 – end of life cycle support Jan 2023

For clients that are on the NAV versions (NAV 2016-NAV 2018), please keep in mind if you are on an older cumulative update/build, you will have a difficult time applying the 1099 updates that are released in December.

 

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

1099 updates for on-prem Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central versions will be for the following:

• Dynamics 365 Business Central 14
• Dynamics 365 Business Central 15
• Dynamics 365 Business Central 16
• Dynamics 365 Business Central 17
